Well, I love a good rummage around a charity shop, and I have spent the last 25 years or so dressing myself using vintage stores and charity shop finds. I had the best time during my A-levels in the 90's, when I would spend most lunchtimes browsing round the Leicester charity shops with my best friend, and presenting our finds to our classmates in our photography class. I then moved on to car boot sales with my boyfriend (turned hubby), where we would spend hours browsing and rummaging, and then furnishing our first home together with vintage finds.
So, it was with great delight that I recently happened upon Shekinah Vintage in Mutley Plain, and was asked by the lovely Sharon, who runs the shop there, if I would like to style and photograph her models, who were taking part in the Sustainable Mutley Plain Street Walk Fashion Show on Saturday 26th March 2022. I of course jumped at the chance, and had a wonderful morning pulling outfits together, hanging out amongst the vintage fashion, and drinking strong tea, whilst chatting to some fabulous new friends.
